This apartment interior design project in Sofia, developed by ARCHLINE Nikolov, a Burgas-based architecture and interior design studio, is conceived as a contemporary living space that combines functionality, aesthetics, and carefully selected materials. The apartment is located in a central urban area, within a building from the 1960s, built on the site of the owner’s former house — a context that adds a layer of personal history and meaning to the project.

The interior is designed to create a calm and balanced environment within the dynamics of the city, while also responding to the requirements of short-term rental use as an Airbnb space.

CONCEPT

The concept is based on a light color palette, natural wood textures, and soft textile elements. A distinct accent color is introduced to create a recognizable identity and a memorable spatial experience.

The combination of materials and tones creates a sense of warmth, comfort, and visual lightness, characteristic of contemporary urban interiors.

LIVING AREA

The living area is organized as an open-plan space combining kitchen, dining, and lounge areas. The kitchen island acts as a natural focal point, establishing a functional connection between the different zones.

Large windows provide abundant natural light and emphasize the selected color accents and material palette.

BEDROOM

The bedroom is designed as a calm retreat, with soft textiles, built-in furniture, and subtle architectural lighting. Materials and colors create a balanced and restful atmosphere.

APPROACH

The project combines functional planning, minimal aesthetics, and a clear visual identity. Attention to detail and controlled use of materials ensure both everyday comfort and a strong impression for short-term stays.
